SA Trend Prediction - Fall 2006 - Shoe Style

I don't know if this style is going to be big or not, but I'm seeing it popping up here and there - shoes with a V-shaped upper area instead of the usual semi-circle. Don't be surprised to see more of the V-top pumps (flat or with heels) around this fall/winter.

Mischa Barton - the face of bebe - rocks some sweet V-topped pumps - a perfect example of a possible fall trend

The bebe photo is the only good example I could find this early into the fall season, but the next two are pretty close...

Stuart Weitzman does platform with semi-V-tops - picture from and available at Neiman Marcus

I've seen this style a lot over the past few years. Especially in stilettos. Love Your Blog!

Yes Kim! That's exactly what I want! This style is soooo sexy in stilettos...I hope they start bringing more of this style to stores...it seems a bit hard to find right now

Thanks for the compliment!

Erm, I'll pass on the stilettoes. I'm so tall I trip over myself in trainers, so god knows what would happen in stilettoes...*imagines something horrible and shudders*
Wonder if they'd come in ballet flat style? Or even kitten heel? Even though I'm tall I LOVE wedges and kitten heels! Sorry for writing so much! :)

Hmmm... seems like it may be a peep toe thing.

Lori's Shoes usually has a pretty fashion forward style, and I'm seeing a mix of "opening shapes..."
