So Swamped!

Sorry for the lack of posts....I'm super swamped as I'm currently prepping for the fabulous Rock & Shop Market this weekend! I'm going to be one of 30+ indie designers featuring all kinds of high-quality, handmade goodness! If you're in the Raleigh area, you should stop by!

Here's the official Rock & Shop Market web site for details:

The good news is....I bought a new digital camera last night! Woohoo! So, lots of fun pictures will be headed your way soon! Hopefully more outfit/jewelry suggestions...I miss doing those! In case you're curious, I got the Sony Cyber-shot. Oddly enough, it's the same camera that I have now, but a couple years younger, so much smaller and with cool features! Here's a picture of it from
Best Buy (which is where I got it from):

After getting a new memory card, carrying case, & the warranty plan (a good idea for digitals), I ended up spending twice as much as I had originally intended to! Argh! It's ok, I just charged it.....Oh, the debt, you ask? Oh yea....ummmmm....still working on that one. It's a minor set-back in the name of fashion and shopping! Right? Right! :)

OMG!!! *completely stunned at how fabulous your jewellery is*
It'll take me a few months to save up (ahem, I'm only 12...bit short on cash---especially since my hairbands...and I need some money for a comic convention I'm going to tomorrow. Yay! Whadda I wear??? *panics*), but I'll DEFINITELY buy one of your necklaces. They're amazing...*still stunned*

I want to do the "Street Fashion" feature now, but I'm afraid I'm too shy.

Also, my camera is a bit large and heavy (but it came with a photo dock!!) but that's not the issue. If it's rubbed up against something, it will turn on, loose battery, and possibly even start deleting photos (paranoid there). So I'd need to put it in an even larger case.

So, I got a camera phone for my blogging (but for taking pictures of products), do you think those photos will be good enough for this? Sometimes the quality is fine, well, most of the time, and sometimes not. And the pictures are already blog-sized, no HQs.

I just got business cards, but they only have the network domain, www.lippedmedia.com, when this feature would go on www.kissmestace.com. Is that alright, too?

Designer Ella,

I miss my street shots! They're fun to do, but I feel like most people think I'm crazy when I ask for their picture....hehe

Hmmm...dunno about your camera....send me some pictures so i can see how they look - different cameras have different quality

Since you have so many sites, i think you picked the right URL - unless you wanted to get cards for each site, but I would have done the same thing you did. I just got business cards too! Theyre sooooo cute!

The quality's usually good, I'll have to find some examples.

Yeah, I'm afraid of that, but for months I've been constantly daydreaming about going up to people. Mostly at school, it's very interesting there.

Oh, yeah. Since it's a business card and that's the business site. I'm just packing a pen in my bags in case I need to jot an extra note for people! The cards are in my wallet. I have a picture of an example if you want to see. Can I see yours? Are they just for the jewelry shop?

Shopaholic D said...

Yes! Send em on!

It's definitely hard to ask people, b/c some people are offended or paranoid (don't know what you're going to do with their picture), but i love it when people are flattered....that's always the best!

I'll have to email you a picture of my cards...send me yours too!

What do you think of the Sony Cybershot? Have you had a good experience with it? I had an Olympus FE-140 (which is comparable to the SC in price), but I wasn't too happy to with it. The pictures were often grainy, especially if it was very bright or dark outside. It was also slow to shoot.

Just trying to get a general idea. Thanks.

It's pretty good so far...i knew it would be pretty good when I heard best buy had completely sold out of it...even the warehouse! i think the one i got is even in the top 5 for consumer reports....HOWEVER...i told me friend i got a sony, and she said that they were the worst brand...she said she had friends who worked for sony and her friends even said sony was bad...but who knows. so far so good...i'll keep my fingers crossed!

Thanks. I checked back to see what you had to say about the camera (and read your blog, of course). Oh, and you look so cute in the NASCAR pictures, by the way. Love the outfit, too.
