Must Shop: The Leather Jacket

I've been wanting a leather jacket for FOREVER now, but simply cannot find the "one." I was actually willing a year or so ago (when I wasn't trying to be so darn responsible) to spend a couple or few hundred on an "investment" piece, but just never found anything I liked.

I actually really like this one I found at Urban Outfitters:

Silence & Noise Motorcycle Jacket - $128

The price isn't bad either. I'll have to check it out in person. I'm sure real-leather would be better, but my wallet would appreciate this deal more.

I haven't found any good middle-ground options, but if you're wanting to go "all-out", here's a gorge leather jacket by who else by D&G:

D&G Dolce & Gabbana - Fitted Leather Jacket - $1495 (ouch)

Have you found any good leather jacket options this season?

Just found this great leather jacket at Martin + Osa. This photo doesn't do it justice. My girlfriends and I all tried it on - totally flattering on all of our different body types. Oh and it's soooo soft.

SWORD always has beautiful jackets. They're carried by blaec.com.

Personally I prefer the one from Urban Outfitters because I like the collar better. I guess I was never fond of "nehru / band " collar type designs. You WILL get a lot of use out of it though. Many years ago I had a motorcycle type jacket like this and I wore it to death until the lining was ripped and the sleeves were worn away. I'd vote for the Urban Outfitters one plus its more budget friendly - hee hee

that's what I'm thinking, Dani!

I have heard of la Redoute, but I don't know where to get it. I don't think it's available in my area. :( Too bad, too, b/c it sounds like you found an amazing deal!

Hi!! I just love your blog...full of great information and tips. I, myself have been looking everywhere for a nice leather jacket and i think i found the "one." Its a motorcycle jacket from Ann Taylor and looks very nice and casual and best of all...its only $148 and if you get the People Style Watch magazine September 2008 issue, there is a 20% off coupon in there. I will be going there tomorrow to try it on and see how it looks. Hopefully it looks good cause i've been dying to get one. Hope you find something that you like!!

I love leather jackets-but I always felt I looked too tough in them. But I realized now that I can have a rocker chick look with some other great accessories....this article helped me out http://www.laviecherie.com/Fashion/Accessories-and-Jewelry/Rocker-Chick.aspx

I found an amazing leather jacket on Ebay (everybodylovesvintage). It's black with a heavy collar and zigzag zipper. Very rocker chic. I'll cherish it forever. All for $15 INCLUDING SHIPPING! :)

Well! More like you, I am also a great fan of leather jacket. Though most of high quality leather jacket cost much higher than the one you have pictured out, but nonetheless this jacket looks quite great and beautiful. I am sure looking at your curiosity to buy a new jacket, you can go for it, but still if you need to review more leather jacket, you can find few of them here at Jacket Review

Mike
