Does the iPhone Bring Out Your Inner Shopaholic?

Do thoughts of purchasing the new iPhone bring out your inner Shopaholic? Do you have dreams of selling your belongings to save up enough money to purchase one? Do you dream about bringing your very own iPhone home with you from your next shopping spree?

With everyone in the world seemingly so abuzz with talk of the new iPhone, I wonder if everyone out there thinks it's as amazing as it's being played out to be. So, I created a little poll to answer the question:

What Do You Think of the iPhone?
Can't wait to buy mine!
Can't afford $500+
Over-rated: My phone is just fine
$500? I'd rather have some Louboutins!
Free polls from Pollhost.com

Have you been saving up for months to buy yours or are you saving your spending money for designer goodies?

There's a great article you should read about it in the NY Times today. Apparently AT&T has a new network and it isn't compatible with that, it works with the old one and there are some connectivity issues, for both phone and internet. The next iPhone will work with it, but I bet it will be another year before that comes out. The iPhone can be updated with software, which is great, but not this network bit.

I love the iPhone commercials! They make me want an iPhone, but then I start thinking about how I wouldn't be taking advantage of the internet with my phone plan, and spending my money somewhere else starts to look more appealing!

Hey Christine, thanks for the tip! I'll have to check that out...I hadn't heard about connectivity issues, but I did hear that they weren't sure if the iPhone would be compatible with different email types - meaning that business execs wouldn't be able to check their work email from their iPhone - meaning they'd probably have to stick with their Blackberry...should be interesting.

Hey Alexandria, I know, they have great marketing, but I'm with you. I don't really use my phone for internet...that's what my laptop is for. Anywho, my SO is thinking of getting one so I'll see how he likes it before I commit. There are some beautiful Giuseppe Zanotti's at Neiman's for Fall 2007 I was eyeing last night. haha!

I am not sure about whether or not I'd love pressing a screen (my nails tend to curve and get rather long, so you'd hear incessant clicking..)

And I am just not sold on not having PROPER buttons... how am I supposed to dial by touch!?

Hmm... we'll have to see. My friend who works there is thrilled about the (insane) Friday launch.

I read an article about it in TIME that really made me want it but then I saw that it only holds 3 or 4 gb of music and i already have a 30 gb ipod so it seems like a waste to me...im sure its really pretty though...but $500 is too much for a first generation phone I think

For me it's more iWon't than iPhone at this point. In March, I was drooling over the idea of having one, but A) you can only go through AT&T and B) it didn't turn out to be all that we hoped and they promised. So yeah, Louboutin knockoffs for me instead. Speaking of Louboutins, D, one glam girl found knockoffs! I just posted on them.

Fabulously Broke in the City, let me know how your friend likes hers...I'm waiting to hear some reviews before I take the plunge...that is...if I take the plunge. I like my Razr and my iPod - I don't have both in one gadget.

Hey Samantha, yea, not too much space...I'll just carry my iPod with my phone. At least the big bag look is in so you can carry all your gadgets.

Hey GG, yea, there are lots of "details" around the iPhone...I wonder how many customers they'll lost b/c of it?
