Simple Spring/Summer 2007 Casual Dress

This weekend at J Crew, I tried on a jersey dress (click for details), which would make a perfect casual outfit for Spring/Summer 2007. I know, I know, I'm blogging about another dress, but they're just so fun...can you really have enough?

Shown here in Botanical Green

Also available in a fun daytime color - Bright Papaya

and Black, Chocolate, and Classic Navy.

On all the models in the store, they had this dress paired with tank tops - a good call considering how low cut the front of this dress is, not to mention the back. When I tried this on, the back section was so lowcut my bra clasp was showing. I think putting the tank top under the dress adds something to the look though...makes it fun.

Sometimes J.Crew makes things that are so low cut that an otherwise really cute dress or top is unwearable for me.

D -

Did you end up buying one? If so, which color? Funny you mention this because yesterday at lunch time I ended up breaking down and buying the green one at J. Crew. The only bad thing is that I'm short - 5'3" so it's rather long on me, I might have to shorten. - Amethyst

That's such an easy dress! I love it! I think that a contrasting tank might look really cute with it too.

I have never been the biggest fan of Duckie Brown. In the past I have found the clothes too ridiculous to actually wear. However, for spring summer 2007, the collection seemed more refined with more appeal to a wider audience. The shape, cut and fabric are stylish. As with the other collections I have seen, the color palette is soft and neutral with splashes of color.
